In order to reach out across borders, we have set up various legal entities.

Switzerland
Child’s Dream Association is incorporated as a charitable society under Swiss law (ZGB, article 60ff) since October 2003. We are tax-exempt by the tax authorities of the Canton Zurich (Steueramt des Kantons Zürich), all other Swiss Cantons as well as the Federal tax authorities.
Therefore, Swiss-taxed donors are able to deduct donations from their taxable income.

Thailand
Child's Dream Foundation has been approved as a charitable foundation by the Royal Thai Government. Approval was granted to us on 3rd November 2005. We are incorporated under the number 0025/2548.

Cambodia
Please note that that our Cambodian operation is not related to 'Cambodian Child's Dream Organization' (CCDO). We are not in anyway related to each other.
Child’s Dream Cambodia Organisation (CDCO), based in Siem Reap, is our project implementation office for our Cambodian field work. We are registered with the Ministry of Interior and governed under a separate Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
Our work in Cambodia started back in 2006 when we had a cooperation agreement with an organisation in Siem Reap. Since our involvement grew considerably over the years, we decided to establish our own legal entity, Child's Dream Cambodia Organisation, end of 2010.

Laos
Our work in Laos started back in 2007. Ever since, we are registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Department of International Organizations, and we have been granted an 'Operational Permit'. This permit allows us to work officially in Lao PDR.
A detailed separate Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education governs our work in Lao PDR.

Hong Kong
In March 2008 Child's Dream Foundation Limited was incorporated as a Hong Kong registered charity and tax exempt by the Inland Revenue Department.
Please note that this entity was established for fundraising purposes only. Funds are exclusively used to support the work of Child's Dream in the Mekong Sub-Region.
