Baan Saanrak was established in 2002 to provide support to vulnerable children and protect them from child abuse, exploitation and trafficking. Many of the children the Centre supports are from broken families, and some are homeless or orphaned. The Centre provides shelter and educational support, as well as guidance and moral support to these children, in order to improve their quality of life and self-determination opportunities. With the financial support of Give2Asia, Child’s Dream Foundation was able to construct a building for life skills training, as well as eight fish ponds and four frog ponds for the Centre. This will assist the dedicated Baan Saanrak team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for 25 local children who have been identified as particularly vulnerable to trafficking and/ or abuse, as well as providing income generation opportunities for the local community.
