Leadership and Management Training College (LMTC) – Integrated into KRCEE

The management committee of Leadership & Management Training College (LMTC) may be amused that it was unlikely for us to pass their entrance test, this hurdle was meant to be high. Every year, only 60 students from five refugee camps are selected and prepared for university.

Committed to provide Karen youths with higher education, we eagerly explored new alternatives, as we had to terminate our support for Karen Junior College in 2005, when students’ safety could not be ensured. In 2006, with the help of enthusiastic educators from Karen Education Department, we had established this college in Mae La, the biggest refugee camp and supported its running costs ever since.
