Malaria is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality along the Thai-Myanmar border. 50% of the deaths amongst children in Myanmar’s conflict zones who are under 5 years of age, is caused by malaria. Malaria can also cause stunted growth and anemia, making children more susceptible to other life threatening illnesses.

We work in partnership with Community Partners International and Karen Department of Health and Welfare (KDHW) to reduce the prevalence of Malaria in the region.
