Child’s Dream’s Emergency Response to the Floods in Myanmar

In July 2015, cyclone Komen has slashed across Western Myanmar, left an estimated 100 people dead, and destroyed livestock. At the same time, vast agricultural properties currently lie underwater due to intense flooding. The devastation has affected approximately a million people. An estimated 14,000 people across 15 villages have been identified by our local partner, NEED, to be in dire need. Although the international aid has been deployed, NEED plans to distribute basic support such as food, medicine, water filters, school supplies, and aid to rebuild their homes. Child’s Dream has supported these initial relief efforts in the amount of USD 30,000. Depending on the outcome of the needs assessment, Child’s Dream will continue to support the rehabilitation through NEED. Please join us and help rebuild the lives of those who are affected.
