A non-profit organisation, NEED was established in 2006 by Khaing Dhu Wan, who has more than fifteen years of experience in sustainable agriculture. NEED trains youths from Myanmar, who mostly belong to ethnic minority groups, on organic farming methods. These youths will then return to their communities to develop their agriculture after the training.

With the setup of the Model Farm Initiative (MFI) school, a training centre with boarding facilities became urgently needed, as most students are from Myanmar and needed lodging. In 2008 we supported the construction of the classrooms, office, and boarding facilities.

We are now partially supporting the running cost.
